Let me go out on a limb and really put it out there for you…
In our experience it takes about $1,000 to draw one person to your new church.
This is by no means statistically proven… this is not a hard and fast rule… this is no promise, guarantee* or in any way intended to imply this is the results you will see. We have seen exceptions to this, but generally speaking, our experience has been, for every $1,000 you spend to launch your church, you just might have one person attending three months after launch. We have seen this in churches ranging from 75 people to 400 people. Notice this isn’t the launch number… launch numbers are always high… but three months after launch you should have a real good idea of where you have settled out.
Please don’t over simplify this… there are MANY factors that fit into this equation… it ALSO depends on what you spend the money on and how you invest your time. This general observation has primarily been true in suburban plants. City plants usually cost more.
