Once you complete the surveys you need to figure out your next steps. You can begin by asking your team what “aha moments” they had. Compare what you learned with what skills, gifts, passions, or resources you have at your disposal.
If you think you have an area where you can meet a need, do a focus group. This can really sharpen the focus and confirm whether there is a strategic match between you and a need in the community.
Finally you prioritize the needs and opportunities and begin serving. Sometimes this will be through partnerships with other local organizations, other times it may be through partnering with a national organization (such as Angel Food). You can bring to these other organizations labor in the form of your team members. They’ll bring expertise and often financial or other resources.
