Thanks to Greg Ligon’s Gone Mobile? post at Leadership Network, I just learned that 40% of iPhone/iPod Touch users now use their mobile device for internet more than they do their computers. He also points out that there are approximately 1 billion people using computers to access the internet but 3 billion using cell phones and mobile devices.
Granted, much of those mobile user numbers come from developing nations, but even stateside we need to start thinking about those who use their iPhone more than their computer. Are our church websites missing a whole segment of people because the sites aren’t mobile-enabled?
Let’s start wrestling with this now before our websites have missed an entire generation.
