About PlantingSpace

This blog is sponsored by Church Planting Solutions (CPS), a Passion for Planting (P4P) ministry.

Passion for Planting
P4P is a not-for-profit church planting support ministry started in 2002 by a group of church planters from New Life Christian Church in Centreville, Virginia. New Life was started as a church planting church, and, through God’s blessing, we have helped start many additional growing churches. In 2002, our vision was to help start one new church every year and to be actively working with at least 4 church planters at any given time. Through God’s blessing, we’ve directly supported over 100 new churches and provided online resources to thousands. Passion for Planting is an outgrowth of our local church experience and our passion to help start healthy new churches.

Church Planting Solutions
CPS is the project management arm of P4P. We provide complete project management services for church planters. This enables the church planters to make better decisions, get more done and ultimately, spend more time with people. CPS also has hundreds of free resources available online, an online church planting tutorial, plus a revolutionary church planting tool called Converge which is quickly becoming the standard project management software for church planting organizations across the U.S.

Patrick Furgerson
Servant of Christ, Husband of Kim, Father to Mayo, Director of Church Planting Solutions
Pat, a Northern Virginia native, graduated from Virginia Tech in ‘91. After spending a year in Indiana deciding whether to marry his college sweetheart Kim, Pat returned to NoVa and became involved in the launch of New Life Christian Church as a volunteer. With a passion to help New Life reach people who couldn’t connect with God in other churches, Pat left his computer job at Perot Systems to handle many administrative and technical duties at New Life. Several years later he transitioned to New Life’s church planting ministry, Church Planting Solutions, where he helps church planters stay focused on people. In 2004, Pat and Kim became parents to Mayo, their pride and joy who enjoys reading and matchbox cars. As a volunteer at New Life, Pat leads a small group and coaches several others, leads several parenting classes and routinely conducts “front yard” events in his neighborhood to introduce people to New Life and to God.
